PADI Project Aware Reef Conservation Specialty Course The Project Aware Reef Conservation Specialty program is designed to familiarise divers and non-divers with the plight of worldwide aquatic ecosystems. It also describes what individuals can do to help protect the aquatic resources. The Reef Conservation is a non-diving course that only contains classroom presentations. It may be conducted as a stand alone program or in conjunction with other PADI Specialty Diver courses. This non-diving course includes:
What can you do after the course? You can use this course to complement your Peak Performance Buoyancy, AWARE - Fish Identification, Underwater Naturalist or Underwater Photography Specialty course. In addition, the AWARE - Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course counts as one of five Specialty course certifications required for the Master Scuba Diver certification. Prerequisites: To enrol in the Project Aware Reef Conservation Specialty program, participants need not be certified divers nor have any prior scuba or snorkelling experience.
