Koh Racha Yai or Big Racha Island

Koh Racha Yai is the main training area for students embarking on their Open Water Training dives and Discover Scuba Diving experiences.  Having sheltered bays, Koh Racha Yai truly is a year round dive site which offers clear waters and both hard and soft coral formations.

For the beginning diver and the less experienced, Bungalow bay is the place of choice on Koh Racha Yai.  For the more experienced diver, a gentle drift dive on the east coast through the hard coral valleys is a more desired option.  There is even a wreck near Ter Bay at a depth of around 30m.

It is in the deeper water that you'll find large schools of barracuda hunting for there prey and it's common to come across both octopus and cuttlefish also looking for their lunch amongst the coral.
