The purpose of the PADI Underwater Photography Specialty course is to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of underwater still photography.  The PADI Underwater Photography Specialty course in intended to serve as a safe, supervised introduction to Underwater Still Photography techniques used in the underwater environment within the limits of recreational scuba diving.  Training emphasises fun & safety.

The course consists of home study / Instructor lectures and a minimum of 2 scuba training dives which may be conducted in 1 day.  The Advanced Open Water Underwater Photography elective dive may be credited towards this certification.

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or Equivalent.

Minimum Age: 12 years old.
