Scubapro Mk16 /
R290 Regulator System
The
Scubapro Mk16 / R290 is a compact high performance regulator system with dual balancing. Designed
for the demanding diver, breathing effort is very stable at all tank
pressures.
MK16 First Stage
A compact,
lightweight, high performance, and versatile overbalanced diaphragm first
stage, built for harsh environments.
Machined marine grade chrome plated brass body
Excellent resistance to corrosion, long lasting, and excellent value for
its price.
Overbalanced diaphragm design
Delivers stable intermediate pressure at all tank pressures.
Safety seat guide and short nose stainless steel seat
High instant flow with increased safety.
Two High Flow Ports (HFP)
High flowing intermediate pressure ports for feeding to the main regulator
and octopus, the two additional intermediate pressure ports are
recommended for the inflator and dry suit.
Thermal Insulating System (TIS)
Cold water resistant. Exceeds CE cold water diving requirements.
Externally adjustable intermediate pressure (patent pending)
Easy and fast adjustment by authorized technician.
One high pressure port
Console or pressure gauge can still be mounted either right or left hand
if first stage is positioned accordingly.
Available in 232 bar yoke or DIN system
Versatile use depending on geographical region.
R290 Second Stage
This second stage is derived from the legendary R190. Actually it is a
compact version, specially designed for dive schools, rental, and all
training facilities. The R290 is extremely lightweight and comfortable,
and also suits ladies and children divers.

Reversible low pressure hose attachment
Versatile, for right or left hand octopus systems.
Classic purge valve
Ideal for beginners and for training facilities.
High flow exhaust valve
Very low exhalation effort for best breathing comfort.
Food grade PVC mouthpiece
Comfortable yet economical.
Fixed VIVA flow vane
VIVA adjustment on minimum position to prevent accidental free flow. This
adjustment can be changed on surface to suit the divers needs.
Compatible with all SCUBAPRO 1st stages
